We help people buy the highest quality hemp THC products online. We have 600,000+ customers, an average rating of 4.4/5, profitability, a >$100m+ run rate - and we’re not even 2 years old!

Our mission is to help people access safe, high-quality THC products tailored to their use case - from reducing discomfort to having a fun night with friends.

We have a small core team with senior employees from Y Combinator backed startups, Smile Direct Club, Rolls Royce Glovo, and Chlorox.

It’s not our first rodeo (David’s from Texas after all 🤠) - our founders have built and scaled multi-million D2C companies and held key roles at leading startups. We care deeply about creating great products, hiring a world-class team and creating the environment to do our best work.

The marketing team

The Mood business has three main parts: Marketing, Tech and Operations. The marketing and tech teams are fully remote across EU and US timezones. The operations team works from our 30,000 square foot warehouse in Oklahoma City.

The digital marketing team is led by our co-founder Jake who has previously scaled millions of dollars across a variety of channels and built multiple 7 figure brands. Our marketing team of 7 works closely with our in-house engineers and designers, and multiple leading creative agencies. We are at 6+ figure spend per day with Meta advertising; significant scale with YouTube, influencers and emails; and are constantly testing other channels.

Marketing team principles:

• Speak to users AND be data-driven: the foundations of great marketing are deeply understanding the customers lives and needs, positioning a great product in a way that deeply resonates, and rapidly iterating. We strongly believe in going deep with customer segments through customer interviews and surveys. We then use our significant ad spend and traffic to test at scale with 400+ tests a month.
• Creative converts: Since iOS 14.5, the levers that a media buyer use have been restricted. Instead, we lean heavily on the platform’s algorithms where the best creative is what matters. This is why we direct multiple leading creative agencies to build out high quality creative.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Getting people to the site is just one part of the goal. We work closest with our in-house engineering team to create new funnels and optimize the customer journey. We frequently collaborate with the physical product team - to test new ideas for products and understand where the demand is.

Then going deep and mastering channels and techniques that work. You get to keep a broad overview and become an expert on the areas that matter most.
